Once Upon a Pool

On February 18, my friend and I participated in a concert at Taipei Arena. The concert is held by my favorite Taiwanese band - Sodagreen. I have followed them since I was in junior high school, and I seldom found fans who also liked them at that time.
On the day of getting the ticket, I was a staff in the graduation performance team, so I asked my mom to help me get the ticket. When my mom told me she didn’t get the ticket, I was a little bit upset but accepted the truth. After a few moments, my friend told me that she got tickets for us! I would appreciate her for the rest of my life, and I especially thanked my mom let me go to the concert.
It was a beautiful day on the day of the concert. The weather was like summer in the afternoon and my friend and I wore heavy winter clothes (really hot). We got to Taipei Arena in the afternoon to get merch made by fans. I was grateful to get them free since everything was beautiful and full of fans love. Before the time to get merch, my friend and I sat at a place close to the MRT station. We had a really long time never seen each other, so we chatted and updated how our life was recently (and also talked about some friends in the same class during elementary school). Going to a concert with a friend was the happiness in life.

Before the concert started, the keyboard and viola players in the band and professional buskers gave a performance. It was a visual and audio delicacy. My friend and I were glad to enter the arena early or we couldn’t see this performance. As talking about the concert, it was very touching from the first song started. Songs with new versions of the music gave me lots of surprises. The most impressive part was the song “He Raises His Hand to Make a Roll Call”. The song was a little bit different from the original one as the performance added the gong (鑼), and the whole part of this song was really like showing a true historical scenario in front of the eyes. Furthermore, the design of the lights was also a spotlight in the concert. Changing with different parts of the performance, the whole concert was a feast for the eyes. All in all, this was a concert full of tears, laughter, and surprises.
There are some beautiful memories that make people want to keep them in their minds forever, and I think the concert of my favorite band is one of them.
