This weekend, I went back home for JLPT, which is a Japanese proficiency test. Since I went back home almost once a month,
I would visit different places to enjoy the atmosphere or participate in special activities. Nonetheless, I prefer to stay at home because home is the most comfortable place for everyone.
This time, I went to a Christmas market close to Shin Kong Mitsukoshi, which was in Xinyi District. I found this market unintentionally. I was astonished there was such a Christmas market with lots of booths set by people from different countries in Europe. There were various kinds of food and drink. People could enjoy It was a pity that I had to go back home to study Japanese. I didn’t spend much time shopping market. Still, I took a selfie with the white Christmas tree. I had seen some stories on Instagram that the place would have snow (the artificial one) this year, too. Even though I saw it last year, it was always fresh for me to see the snow and sparkling light ornaments.

In the market, everything looked delicious. I wanted to try the hot wine the most. I had heard that the hot wine would add lots of kinds of fruit. Although I never tried red wine before, I guessed it would have more fruit flavors than the normal one. Moreover, I tasted the honey that came from France. I tried three flavors, including the flower, the forest, and the fir one. The fir was a kind of tree. The staff told me it was the flavor same as the Christmas tree. I was curious about the Christmas tree’s flavor since I had never smelled or tasted it before. Among them, my favorite was the flower flavor one. It was also the sweetest one, yet I liked its special smell in my mouth.

Though the main purpose to go back home this time was for JLPT, I did not only study for the whole weekend. I precious weekends going back to Taipei as I can see my family and sometimes I will meet my friends for a meal. Finally, I finished the test in the morning. (I think the listening is a little bit difficult. (probably not only a little bit)) It’s tiring every time go back and forth between home and school, but I'm still willing to go home several times in a semester.
