Sumikkogurashi 10th Anniversary Exhibition
During this summer vacation, I went to an exhibition that I had expected for a long time with my bestie. Both we loved Sumikkogurashi, which was a group of adorable creatures living in the corner. My favorite character is dusk. It’s so cute for its fluffy appearance but not in my real life. The fried shrimp and white bear are my favorites, too.
As we stepped into the world of Sumikkogurashi, we couldn’t help but scream in our hearts. There were five characters stacked in the corner welcoming everyone who loved them. In this world, we found special characters in the park, visited the cafe opened by Mr. Coffee Bean, and went camping and watched stars with the Sumikkogurashi family. Finally, they wished everyone has a good dream at night. It was a wonderful time and a soothing place that could relieve people’s stress. While walking in the exhibition, I couldn’t control but always smile since it was a flawless place for fans of Sumikkogurashi. Hope it can come out with more characters in the future!
There are several places I love especially. The first one is the movie theater. People can sit with some characters and watch a short video with them. There was also a large pack of popcorn as decoration. Moreover, in specific places, you can see a little platform with backgrounds settled on the wall. Those are stages for your doll. You can put your doll on the platform and take pictures of it as you do in this exhibition. I’m regretful that I don’t bring my doll with me on that day! What have mentioned above still can’t satisfied me, a big fan of these small creatures. There are some short comics telling everyone what happened in their life, and a wall also demonstrates the different design posters in the past ten years. As you look carefully at every poster, you can find details in them. My favorite one is numerous characters taking a photo in the tapioca park. It makes me want to visit the park, although this park doesn’t exist in reality.
It is a remarkable memory for us. We took lots of pictures of each other. After we went out of the exhibition, my bestie and I sat and chatted in the bookstore nearby the exhibition. We talked about our life now and days in junior high school. I am glad that I have had this friend since junior high school. Hope we can go out again in the near future.
